Starting in May, white asparagus (spargel) is a very common sight in the grocery stores. Christian & I attended a cooking class through my language school to prepare a meal using spargel. The meal consists of peeling the outer skin of the asparagus, boiling it and then preparing a hollandaise sauce. Super easy! The asparagus is served with boiled potatoes & ham. I think green asparagus has a stronger taste than the white. A few weeks later, we made it again at our apartment. Now that is almost July, I haven’t seen the spargel in the grocery stores lately. We’ll have to wait again for next year.
